Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica
Manuel Antonio National Park is the most visited park in all of Costa Rica. The explorer Ponce De Leon first mapped the area in 1519. It is located on the Pacific Coast, 132 km from San Jose and 7 km from nearby Quepos.
The area is lush jungle abutting beautiful sandy beaches. Amongst the trees you may see white-faced and squirrel monkeys, two-toed sloths, anteaters, or toucans. There are actually 109 species of mammals and 184 species of birds. Within the ocean experience fish, dolphins, sea turtles, and migrating whales.
